The Canadiens are expected to name their next GM in the following few days and it is expected by many that Mathieu Darche is a leading candidate. Today Julien BriseBois made this seem even more likely with an amazing statement about his co-worker.
BriseBois said the following to The Athletic
"He has a phenomenal personality, great people skills and great emotional intelligence. His experience as a player in the NHL, but also in Europe and in the minors, shows a lot of resilience. He has this passion for hockey. If he's lucky enough to run his own program somewhere, I'm sure he will do very well for the same reasons I know he will do very well in the role I have for him. His leadership, interpersonal skills, hockey and management expertise make him a very good candidate for any organization, especially in the NHL."
This ringing endorsement sounds very similar to a goodbye from BriseBois to his good friend. We are likely to find out in the next week if that's the case.
