The new Ottawa Senators forward, Dylan Cozens, took a shot at the Buffalo Sabres after yesterday's blockbuster trade.

On Friday, the Ottawa Senators agreed on the terms of a trade with the Buffalo Sabres. The Sens sent Josh Norris and Jacob Bernard-Docker to Buffalo for Dennis Gilbert and Dylan Cozens in a https://www.houseofhockey.net/nhl/trades/atlantic-division-rivals-make-major-trade-involving-636-million-player
After the trade, Cozens shared his thoughts about leaving the Buffalo Sabres. It was tough for him, considering he joined the organization in 2019, when he was drafted 7th overall by the Sabres.
Five years and 341 games later, Cozens has to leave Buffalo, where he had a lot of close friends and where he wanted to make a difference.
Here's what he said in his first press conference since being traded:
"It's obviously sad, you know, a lot of good buddies here, a lot of close friends. I really wanted to be a part of the solution in Buffalo. I dreamt every day about being a part of a good team in Buffalo, playing in the playoffs in Buffalo, so it's tough, it's sad, for sure. But at the same time, there's a very exciting opportunity in Ottawa and I'm super excited to be a part of the Sens."

Cozens didn't have a lot of time to get back on his feet, as the Senators played an afternoon game against the New York Rangers on Saturday.
In an intermission interview, Cozens was asked to talk about how different it is for him to compete with a team in a position to make the playoffs, and he took a shot at the Sabres in his answer.
Here's what he said:
"Yeah, it's awesome. It's obviously a little change from where I just was, but, uh, you know, to go out and play those big games, it's very exciting. It's awesome getting up for those games and being in this push. So, uh, you know, I'm happy and looking forward to it."

The Sabres weren't in a position to compete for a playoff spot, and Cozens didn't shy away from acknowledging it.
Now, it'll be up to him to help his new team get there.
