Brad Marchand shares thoughts on his most infamous moment of his career
Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand recently discussed some of the most infamous moments of his career, including the lick incident.
The incident happened back in 2018, which feels like an eternity ago, but few hockey fans have forgotten. In the middle of a scrum with then Lightning forward Ryan Callahan, the veteran center decided it would be a good idea to lick him!
I was watching the NHL network yesterday and they said Brad Marchand needs to lick someone. 😂😂😂
When asked about the dumbest moments of his career, Marchand was quite open about it, revealing that him licking Callahan is probably number one.
"There's a few. A very blatant and obvious one would probably be the Callahan one."
Marchand likely won't get much pushback on that point either. In fact, him licking Callahan became such a well known event, that it has followed him for the rest of his career since then. Other players have even referenced the licking in proceeding scrums involving the Bruins captain. In the playoffs this year, Panthers defenseman Brandon Montour mocked Marchand by sticking his tonge out at him, pretending to lick him from a distance.

People don't forget! 😅
Of course, the licking incident is just one of many that Marchand has been involved in. More recently, he drew a lot of anger from Penguins fans when he punched Tristian Jarry in the helmet, then wacked him with his stick as he was being escorted away by a linesmen.

Yikes. What will Marchand do next? Only time will tell. With him, anything is possible.
