The Utah Hockey Club has made some huge trades in recent times, and now they're reportedly looking to make another move with a former top pick.

Just a few months into their life as an organization, the Utah Hockey Club has been aggressive in rebuilding this team, adding the likes of John Marino, Tij Iginla, and Mikhail Sergachev to their roster, but they may not be done. According to a recent report, Victor Soderstrom, the No. 11 overall pick back in the 2019 NHL Draft has been made available via trade, with the pending RFA yet to have an extended stint in the NHL in his career.

"Also hearing that while Utah is open to re-signing RFA D-man Victor Söderström, the team is also exploring trades for the 2019 11th overall pick.

Söderström, 23, has yet to establish any kind of NHL foothold, totaling 53 NHL games (1 G, 11 pts.) over the past three seasons." Morgan said.

The 23-year-old has appeared in 53 games over the past four years with the Coyotes, tallying 1 goal and 11 assists over that time, and with the additions to their blue line, he's become highly expendable. It's unclear as of right now what the market is for Soderstrom, but with a career-high 32 points in 62 AHL games this past year, he may be worth taking a flier on for a team that's looking for depth defensively moving forward.
