The Vancouver Canucks are firing back at any team looking to poach its players after rumors of unrest in the team's dressing room led to trade talks

Just a day after word that a huge trade involving Vancouver Canucks forward JT Miller fell through at the last minute comes word of some annoyance from the Canucks' brass.

In his latest 32 Thoughts podcast, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman said Vancouver Canucks GM Patrik Allvin issued a note to the entire NHL letting them know they have no right to talk to any of their players privately unless they talk to him first.

"On Tuesday the Canucks sent out a note to all the teams in the league reminding them 'nobody has permission to talk to any of our players without getting it from us first'

So obviously the Canucks thought that somebody on their team was being tampered with."

There has been plenty of talk about discontent in the Vancouver Canucks locker room with trade rumors swirling around both JT Miller and Canucks star Elias Pettersson. However, it looks like both Pettersson and Vancouver would prefer he stay where he is.

Despite the turmoil, Vancouver continues to push for a wild card spot in the NHL's Eastern Conference. The Canucks are currently one point behind the Calgary Flames in the Western Conference standings for the final wild card position.

While the Miller trade rumors are everywhere, reporter Rick Dhaliwal insists Miller has never requested or demanded a trade away from Vancouver.
