Trade rumors around the NHL have been heating up as of late, and now, the latest report from Montreal has signaled that a big-time move could be coming any day.
On Sunday, the Canadiens do battle with the New York Rangers, another team that's been surrounded by speculation as of late, and according to reporter Stu Cowan, no less than 11 teams are being represented by scouts at the game.
Perhaps the most intriguing team on the list is Vancouver, who almost made a deal with J.T. Miller heading to New York on Saturday, and with the team continuing to scout New York, it could be an indicator that a move is coming sometime very, very soon.
With the likes of both Braden Schneider and Alexis Lafreniere potentially involved in a deal, the Canucks may be looking around to see what else they could get in a deal, while other teams could be looking at both squads as potential trade partners.
On top of that, the Canadiens are a team that intrigues many around the NHL, with the likes of Josh Anderson, David Savar,d and Christian Dvorak all as potential trade chips, with opposing teams closing in around them as the trade deadline draws near.
Ultimately at this time of year, there are scouts at seemingly every game, but given the timing of the Miller saga on Saturday and the red-hot run of Montreal led by their young core, it's safe to say that there's some intrigue around a possible deal with one of these teams.
