Avalanche fans were outraged last night when Stars captain Jamie Benn got away with a classic dirty move on Cale Makar.

The Colorado Avalanche defeated the Stars by a score of 6-3 at home last night.

While Avs fans were happy with the result, one moment from the game stood out in the minds of many.

Of course, this incident involved Stars captain Jamie Benn, who is known to be a dirty player on the ice.

At one point during the game, Benn was crashing towards the Colorado net, being defended by Cale Makar.

Instead of trying a legal method of creating space for himself in front of the net, Benn elected to spear Makar right between the legs where the sun doesn't shine.

Naturally, Makar was staggered by the move, falling to the ice in the Colorado crease. Avs fans were understandably upset.

Many chirped the Stars captain, calling him out for his dirty plays that he never backs up.

Back in the day, Benn would drop the gloves fairly regularly but he doesn't seem to do so much anymore as several pointed out.

One fan even went so far as to say that Benn is just as dirty if not dirtier than Brad Marchand, but he 'hides' it better.

Of course, there was no penalty called on the play. Luckily, the puck does not lie as the Avalanche secured the victory.

It appears as though Benn has gotten away with one yet again though as there has been no indication from the Department of Player Safety of supplementary discipline coming for the Stars captain.
