BREAKING: Bruins Make Emergency Roster Move Ahead Of Game
The Boston Bruins made a surprise roster move today.
Bruins Recall Beecher From AHL On Emergency Basis
The team recalled center John Beecher on an emergency basis this morning. It is not clear exactly what prompted this move. Notably, the team does not play tonight as their next game is tomorrow against the Montreal Canadiens.
Bruins Recall John Beecher on Emergency Basis:
Beecher has played in 39 games with the Bruins this season, recording 5 goals and 7 points in the process. The 22-year-old was drafted in the 1st round, 30th overall by the Bruins in 2019.
The Bruins currently have three forwards on IR or LTIR, but the team has not made a corresponding move yet. With Beecher's recall, the team has a full 23-man roster though so it appears as though there may be no corresponding move coming. As an emergency loan, Beecher's cap hit will not be on the books during his stint with the team.
