During the Detroit Red Wings' era of dominance in the 1950s, they got consistent efforts out of forward Marty Pavelich, who spent his entire 10-year career with the Red Wings.
Today, it was announced that Pavelich, a four-time Stanley Cup champion, has passed away at 96 years old.
Pavelich played in 633 career NHL games scoring 93 goals and 252 points. He won the Stanley Cup with the Red Wings in 1950, 1952, 1954, and 1955. Before he retired, Pavelich earned alternate captain honors for the Red Wings as one of their locker room leaders.
