McDavid has been known to enjoy privacy and not like the cameras too much, and on his big day, he ensured that privacy was kept. The McDavid's implemented a major rule to all guests: no phones, no photos, no videos. It seems as if guests did respect the rule, as now that a few days have passed since the wedding, no pictures or videos of the actual ceremony and reception have been found anywhere.
Despite being the greatest hockey player currently on the planet, you are still entitled to privacy and intimacy as an individual, and everyone needs to respect McDavid's wishes. For those who remember a former Oilers great, Wayne Gretzky had his wedding in 1988 publicly televised across the entire country. What a difference that was compared to this one.
Connor McDavid has been arguably the best player in the Edmonton Oilers franchise since Wayne Gretzky. Since his debut with the Oilers in 2015, McDavid has scored 335 goals and added 647 assists in 645 career games.
Congratulations to the McDavid's, and cheers to a long, loving life together.
