Marc-Andre Fleury has been blessed with two beautiful masks in the final season of his NHL career with the Minnesota Wild.
The first mask showcases an animal head, which appears to be a bear, who has his mouth wide open and showing his teeth. The logos of the three other major sports teams in Minnesota are present on each side of the mask: the Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Timberwolves, and the Minnesota Twins. The rest of the mask contains trees and birds, which represent the big forest and wildlife that is seen in rural Minnesota, and obviously, the mask contains flowers, which represents Marc-Andre Fleury's nickname: Flower.
The second mask that designer Stephane Griff created for Marc-Andre Fleury is a little more simple, but still very beautiful. It has a white base with the letter "M" on each side which is painted in green but outlined in yellow. The cage of the mask is very cool as it is in color yellow, and all of these colors are to honor the former Minnesota hockey team which were the Minnesota North Stars.
Marc-Andre Fleury was one of the most liked guys, if not the most liked player to ever be in the NHL, and now he will have two perfect masks to go with his perfect character.
The world-class goalie was drafted back in 2003 as the first overall pick by the Pittsburgh Penguins and went on to have a remarkable Hall of Fame worthy career. He's played in a total of 1,025 games, having won 561 of those starts, and posted a career GAA of 2.60 and a .912 save %.
