The true reason behind why the Leafs stripped Tavares of the captaincy revealed
This afternoon reports revealed that the Toronto Maple Leafs stripped John Tavares of his captaincy and now we have context as to how the decision was made.
Tonight has been a busy one in Toronto after several insiders confirmed the team was taking the captaincy away from John Tavares. It was also announced that Matthews was expected to be the new captain .
