Alex Ovechkin has hilarious admission about post-games in Capitals locker room
Alex Ovechkin has long been one of the NHL's best players, and now his admission about post-games will make him even more beloved among regular fans.
The Washington Capitals have enjoyed a long period of success under Alexander Ovechkin, with the captain being one of the most beloved players in franchise history. Now, he's going to be even more popular, as he recently shared a hilarious admission about how much he loves to have beers after each and every NHL game with his teammates and coaches.
«I can't imagine a [player] who says he doesn't drink he quit'. You can take a break for a certain time, but after the game, 2 to 3 cans of beer with pleasure. Its useful. In Washington, we have a refrigerator with beer in the coaching room. It's normal.»
According to the interview, the coaching room in Washington is stocked full of beer, something that Ovechkin and the team love to partake in.
«I like the taste of beer. I like light beer, sometimes I drink Guinness.»
This could have become a contentious point, given the amount of NHLer's that have admitted to having issues with alcohol, but it looks to be a very fun time in the Capitals locker room. At 38-years of age, Ovechkin isn't far from retirement, where he can enjoy beers on more occasions, but given his chase for Wayne Gretzky's goal scoring record, it's safe to say that he'll be having plenty more to come still in the next few years.
