Matt Rempe Shows Up With Bruised Face at Practice: The Pictures Raise Concerns For his Health and his Future in the NHL
Rempe's ability to fight has secured him a spot in the NHL, but it might be what drives him away from hockey. There are known side-effects on the brain that come with fighting. A photo from practice revealing his facial injuries has alarmed many fans.
Call me soft all you want, but a 21-year-old kid looking like this after a total of 15 minutes of ice time should not be allowed.
His brain isn't even close to fully developed. CTE is no joke.
With his size and strength, he has the potential to become a top player in the League. It would be unfortunate to see his NHL journey cut short because he fights too much. Hopefully, he'll try to avoid fighting for a little while.
