BREAKING: Canadian GM Fired For Massive Blunder
The Ottawa Senators have fired GM Pierre Dorion following a massive blunder that has cost the team a first-round pick.
Dorion Fired
NHL insider Elliotte Friedman has just confirmed that the Ottawa Senators have fired Pierre Dorion.
Ottawa will be making a GM change. Pierre Dorion is being relieved of his duties.
The straw that broke the camel's back was Dorion failing to inform the Vegas Golden Knights of Evgenii Dadonov's NTC which resulted in the Senators losing a first-round pick.
The #sens have been docked a first-round draft pick by the NHL as punishment for their handling of the July 2021 Evgenii Dadonov trade with Vegas.
Ottawa will give up its first-rounder in 2024, 2025 or 2026.
Now the Senators will be making a major change and we will find out who their new GM is later today.
