Since last Sunday the Capitals have been without Captain Alex Ovechkin when he was injured after being tripped into the boards against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
He missed last game against the New York Islanders in which the Capitals lost 4-1 and looks like he will be missing tonights game against them as well.
The good news is Ovechkin is skating. According to Samantha Pell:
He had a good day at practice, moved well, still too early to tell about tomorrow's game against NYR
So the good news is the Capitals are not ruling Ovechkin out of the teams final game of the season against the Rangers. If Ovechkin is practicing, his shoulder must be feeling better and if he misses the final game, he has a few extra days over the weekend and early next week to allow it to heal.
But I would take him practicing as good news that Ovechkin will be back for game 1.
