BREAKING: Suspension Handed Out After Dirty Hit On First Pick
A suspension has been announced following a high hit on 2017 first-overall pick Nico Hischier.
Clifton Suspended
During the Sabres match against the Devils last night, defenseman Connor Clifton laid a high hit on Nico Hischier that resulted in an ejection for Clifton and Hischier sitting out the third period.
The NHL Department of Player Safety just announced that they have suspended Clifton for two games for his actions.
Connor Clifton has been suspended 2 games for last night's hit
Buffalo's Connor Clifton has been suspended for two games for an Illegal Check to the Head of New Jersey's Nico Hischier.
Clifton will now be sidelined for a short bit but there is a solid chance that Hischier misses more time as a result of this hit. This is Connor Clifton's first suspension.
