It was announced last week that Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman Jake Muzzin waas going to see a specialist all the way in California for the injuries he has been dealing with.
Over his career he has had a history of health problems with his neck and head, especially these last few seasons.
NHL Insider Chris Johnston just reported that there is some serious concerns for his health.
RIght now there is not a definite timetable for Muzzin to return to the NHL, but it sounds like his career is in serious jeopardy if he does.
Jake Muzzin was in California to see a specialist last week looking at the head and neck area where he has had a number of injuries and I can tell you there is legitimate concern of what the next hit could look like if he were to return
If there is a Jake Muzzin size hole in their line up they got a need there for a defenceman and they got more cap space to play with.
Muzzin has been the type of defenceman that has seriously helped the Maple Leafs as they are lacking that stay at home reliable defenceman. If his career is over, this is a serious loss for the team.
