It's never fun to miss the start of the season. For defenseman Joel Edmundson, it's becoming a trend.
Fractured Hand
The Washington Capitals have announced that Joel Edmundson will miss the start of the season after having surgery.
"Capitals defenseman Joel Edmundson underwent a procedure on Tuesday to stabilize his fractured hand. Based on the nature of the injury, Edmundson is expected to miss 4-6 weeks." - Washington Capitals
This is now the third season in a row where Edmundson is injured for the start of it. The last two seasons in Montreal saw Edmundson miss time to due back issues.
The Capitals are the fourth team the 30-year-old has played with in his career. Besides Montreal, he's also suited up for the St. Louis Blues and Carolina Hurricanes.
