The New York Rangers didn't escape last night's game without casualties against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Rangers unfortunately announced today that forward Tyler Motte will miss some time with a significant injury.
Motte was nailed by a Mack truck last night named Anthony Angelo who laid Motte out with a bone crushing check during a very rowdy game between these two teams as they both are getting ready for some playoff hockey.
Fortunately it was released that it was not a head injury, but rather just an upper-body injury.
The action didn't stop with the two teams battling after the final buzzer. If these two hook up in playoffs, this is going to be an intense series.
Motte has 15 points, 7 goals, 8 assists this season in a bottom 6 role with the Rangers.
