Yesterday the news broke that Carson Briere had destroyed a $4,000 wheelchair while at a local bar. The video drew immediate outrage from the public leading to Mercyhurst University promising to investigate the incident.
Now 24 hours after the video leaked both Flyer's General Manager Daniel Briere and his son Carson have officially released a statement on the matter.
Danny Briere statement:
I was shocked to see Carson's actions in the video that was shared on social media yesterday. They are inexcusable and run
completely counter to our family's values on treating people with respect. Carson is very sorry and accepts full responsibility for his behavior.
Carson followed up his father's statement with a statement of his own:
I am deeply sorry for my behavior on Saturday. There is no excuse for my actions, and will do whatever can to make up for this serious lack of judgment.
Hopefully Carson learns from this incident and becomes a better person because of it.
A GoFundMe page has already manager to raise enough money to replace the destroyer wheel chair.
