Evander Kane's career as a Shark officially over

The San Jose Sharks have placed forward Evander Kane of unconditional waivers for the purposed of terminating his NHL contract.
The Sharks had previously waived Kane and sent him to the Barracudas of the AHL until Kane caught COVID and has been out of the lineup since.
At 2 pm tomorrow the Sharks will officially terminate the deal and make Kane an unrestricted free agent allowing him to sign with any other team he choose to sign with.
According to a statement from the Sharks they're releasing Kane due to a breach of his player contract.

(@SanJoseSharks) have informed Evander Kane that he has been placed on unconditional waivers with intent to terminate his contract for breach of his NHL Standard Player Contract and for violation of the AHL COVID-19 protocols.
The Club will have no further comment on this matter.
