Ever since Jeff Gorton and Kent Hughes took over the Montreal Canadiens, it seems they've kept 'blacklisted' prospect Logan Mailloux at arms reach. Both Gorton and Hughes have been reportedly willing to cut their losses on Mailloux.
Before Mailloux's draft, he told NHL teams that he didn't earn the right to be selected after he was charged with defamation and offensive photography in Sweden. The request though apparently wasn't enough as Marc Bergevin, Montreal's former General Manager, selected Mailloux in the 1st round.
Until this offseason, the new Montreal managed refused to allow Mailloux around his possible Habs teammates.
To take it one step further as well, they're even mentioning him on their social media accounts.
Unfortuantely for Mailloux though, even though he is now being accepted by the team, he is still unable to participate in any camps as he is still rehabbing from an injury. Although he is apparently healing faster than expected:
His return to practice was expected in mid-October. However, his physiotherapists believe he has progressed faster than expected. Logan is currently waiting to meet with the surgeon to review his progress before making a decision. It is highly unlikely that he will be able to participate in rookie camp and training camp.

It's unfortunate that he cannot take advantage of his chance to play with current Montreal Canadiens and prospects, but he will get his chance soon enough.
Mailloux is expected to play an entire season with the London Knights next season where he had a pretty successful first year, and could have possibly been even better if not for injury.
