During game 2 of the Western Conference finals, Colorado Avalanche Captain Gabriel Landeskog caught Kailer Yamamoto with a huge hit as he is crossing the blue line.

Landeskog was not penalized on the play but Yamamoto left the game with an injury.

The Department of player safety took a look at the hit and has made a decision on the play.

DOPS looks at everything, but I doubt Landeskog's hit on Yamamoto invites discipline. Landeskog appears to go through Yamamoto's shoulder which makes the head contact unavoidable. Size difference also a factor here, but it's easy to understand why the Oilers would be upset.
