Just this week, Anaheim Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf announced he will be retiring at the end of this season. We saw in Getzlaf's press conference he got emotional when speaking of his relationship with Corey Perry, and last night when Perry was interviewed, he got emotional as well.
Perry and Getzlaf were both drafted in 2003, made their debuts in the same year, won the stanley cup together, gold medals and were one of the best duo's in the league for a long time.
It was tough seeing both of them get this emotional when they talk about each other but it is amazing to see just what true friendship is like!
