Night's like this are how Legends are made. The St Louis Blues were heading into Colorado down 3-1 in the series hoping to live another day.
MacKinnon scored one of the best goals of his playoff career. The Avalanche took a 3-1 lead into the 3rd period before the Blues would battle back tying it up at 3.
That's when with under 3 minutes left, MacKinnon would pick up the puck and go end to end before going upstairs on Ville Husso.
Unfortunately for Colorado, Robert Thomas would tie game in the final minute forcing overtime.
Tyler Bozak then scored the game winning goal 3 minutes and 38 seconds into overtime to send the series back to St. Louis for Game 6.
