The Edmonton Oilers are just one win away from the Western Conference Finals after beating the Calgary Flames 5-3 Tuesday night in Edmonton.
Unfortunately for the Oilers they travel to Calgary for game five Thursday night but will be without forward
Evander Kane who will not be traveling with the team but not because of injury.
TSN's Ryan Rishaug has just reported that forward Evander Kane is not travelling with the Edmonton Oilers because he and his beautiful girlfriend Mara are set to welcome their new baby boy to the world and plan to name him little Iverson Frank Kane.
Kane has a daughter from his previous marriage with Ex-wife Anna Kane, who Evander is in the middle of messy divorce and custody battle with currently.
The Oilers are likely to provide more information on Kane's status after Thursday's morning skate or during warmups but could be playing. Kane is however though expected for game 5 who so far in this series has 12 goals and three assists in 11 playoff contests.
On behalf of House of Hockey We would like to congratulate Evander and Mara on their new baby boy.
