The Philadelphia Flyers used to be known as one of the grittiest teams in the league and when you went to Philly, you left knowing you played Philly. But the the Flyers just had one of their worst seasons in Franchise history.
They finished dead last in the Metropolitan division and we're just flat out hard to watch this season, resulting in the trade of their long time captain Claude Giroux. With the teams poor record this past season, one of the former Flyers has had enough and decided to call out the organization.
That former player turn podcaster is Chris Therien from the Nasty Knuckles podcast.
This is what Therien had to say:
"First off fans. They just wanna go watch a hockey game. they don't wanna see some big giant orange mascot obstructing their view and trying to put a focus on himself. They just want to go watch a hockey game.
Grow up, get with the picture; and the people that so work in the corporate side, they probably shouldn't be. they're not from Philadelphia. This is a unique special sports town. And you cant have people from the outside coming in here and putting their handprint on it when they have absolutely zero clue what they're doing. And those people have zero clue what they're doing."
