Things got a little tense in Rexall Place with the score 3-2 Oilers midway through the 3rd period when Mike Smith would pull a Vesa Toskala and let a goal in from the Flames end by Ramus Andersson.
Luckily though the Oilers would score a late goal by Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and an empty net goal by Evander Kane to win.
After the game Oilers goalie Mike Smith would joke about the goal:
A reporter asked:
Mike.. obviously, give me your thought did you not see the puck what happened?"
Mike Smith:
"I can laugh now right? Haha I'm.. I mean obviously I... I don't think there's been a time in my career where I lost the puck. Where I've had no idea where it went and talking to some guys after and I wasn't the only one that didn't know where the puck was either, so it made me feel a little better.
