Connor McDavid became the 6th fastest player to ever hit 600 points in NHL history. McDavid accomplished the feat in 7 season (421 Games) and if it weren't for the pandemic shortened seasons he would have accomplished it within his first 6 seasons. McDavid joins the list that includes Wayne Gretzky (274), Mario Lemieux (323), Peter Stastny (394), Mike Bossy (400) and Jari Kurri (419).
McDavid has scored 27 points in 14 games this season and is currently on pace for 158 points which would eclipse his single season career record. If McDavid could continue at this pace he'd finish the season with the 14th best statistical points season in NHL history.
Now if you look at these statistics compared to era adjusted statistics McDavid would have accomplished this approximately 40 games sooner which would have moved him into 3rd all time behind Gretzky and Lemieux.
