Fans are now able to see the choices of the voting writers and can hold them accountable for their picks publicly.
Unfortunately though, this policy isn't enough to stop people from making the decisions that make no sense.
Several members of the Writers Association this year left Auston Matthews and Connor McDavid of their Hart Trophy ballot and a Pittsburgh Penguin writer Seth Rorabaugh actually didn't add either to his ballot, which he has yet to explain why.
there were five phwa members who didn't include connor mcdavid on their hart trophy ballots. these are the voters, and who they included on their ballots.

So @SethRorabaugh of the Pittsburgh Tribune Review and @glefrancoisLP of La Presse were the 2 writers to Leave Auston Matthews off their Hart Trophy Ballots.
LeFrancois had Huberdeau, Josi, Kaprizov, Shesterkin, McDavid
