After the game 4 overtime loss, the Tampa Bay Lightning are at risk of losing the stanley cup finals, currently training the Colorado Avalanche 3-1 in the series.
They had 2 poor showings in Colorado in games 1 and 2, but looked like they turned back into their old selves for games 3 and 4, but sadly game 4 still did not go their way.
With the Avalanche holding a 3-1 series lead, they are the obvious favourites to win the cup this year and with game 5 tonight in Colorado, they could be hoisting the cup tonight or the series could shift back to Tampa Bay for game 6 and a home ice advantage for Tampa Bay to tie the series.
After the two bad games in Colorado, fans were wondering how the Tampa Bay Lightning will perform having to play game 5 back in the Avalanche's barn, and Lightning coach Jon Cooper tossed out this excuse about the team's play:
the altitude hurt Lightning last time in Denver
Tonight could be the Lightning's final game of the season, so let's hope they don't use this as an excuse tonight.
