READ: Akim Aliu gets mad at NHL players mocking Evander Kane and fans start giving it to him
Racism has been a hot topic unfortunately after all the hate sent to Nazem Kadri.
Akim Aliu who is now an advocate against racism and was also a victim of racism himself, when he accused Bill Peters, who was at the time the head coach of the Calgary Flames, of having used racial slurs against him when the two were with the AHL's Rockford Ice Hogs a decade earlier.
Aliu tweeted his support for Colorado Avalanche forward Nazem Kadri, who was going through hell getting death threats and racial comments after running into Jordan Binngton.
However, Aliu is taking things in a different direction, calling out both players and fans who are now giving going after Evander Kane with comments also.
Among Aliu's targets of criticism that he mentioned Flames forward Matthew Tkachuk, who mocked Kane by asking Kane if he needed some money during a scrum in the series, calling Kane a "Broke B*tch" mocking Kane for having to file bankruptcy.
"How is this ok or funny? Seems when certain types of athletes go through personal issues countless examples in hockey fans, players and media root for a comeback.But somehow now personal attacks are normalized. What gives this time around..?"
