This past weekend, the Montreal Canadiens star goaltending made a public statement on his social media opposing the new Bill C-21. The bill which was proposed by the Liberal Party in Canada is looking to ban certain types of rifles and shotguns.

Many people have been opposed to this bill and are standing up to it. The Liberal party sees it as a way to decrease gun violence, while a lot of people use these rifles and shotguns as a way to hunt food for their families.

This was Price's original statement against it:

I love my family, I love my country and I care for my neighbour. I am not a criminal or a threat to society. What @justinpjtrudeau is trying to do is unjust. I support the @ccfr_ccdaf to keep my hunting tools. Thank you for listening to my opinion.

Many people found this a disgusting move by Price due to an issue he was not aware of, that being the massacre by Marc Lepine who shot and killed 14 people at Montreal's École Polytechnique.

Price issued another statement yesterday:

My views are my own and I do believe in them.

The only reason I bring up this issue is because it is what's being brought up now and not out of disrespect to anyone.

No, I did didn't agree with the promotional code either.

I continue to stand beside my fellow hunters and sport shooters who have legally acquired our property and use in a safe manner.
