This past Wednesday, the news broke that former Florida Panthers head coach, not New Jersey Devils associate coach Andrew Brunette had been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol in Broward County.
Very little details at the time had been released, but we have now found out from Andy Slater of Fox Sports what exactly happened.
No one should ever drink and drive, there is no excuse for it and it's absolutely unacceptable, but try reading this without laughing atleast a little bit:
Brunette was arrested for driving a golf cart in his suburban area leaving a bar.
Andrew Brunette was leaving a bar on his golf cart when police arrested him for DUI.
Brunette's golf cart was illegally parked outside this bar, cops say.
He came out saying he was leaving but was still given a ticket.
Brunette went back in to get his wife. The deputies waited 15 minutes and then saw him drive away under the influence, police say.
