It's not very often you see players receive indefinite suspensions, but yesterday the Western Hockey League made an announcement that they have officially suspended 4 players.
These 4 players were members of the Moose Jaw Warriors and the suspension is effective immediately.
News coming down from the WHL that Moose Jaw Warriors players Connor Ungar, Max Wanner, Lynden Lakovic & Marek Howell have been suspended indefinitely for "possible violation of team rules and the WHL Standard of Conduct policies."
In a release, the WHL says the four players have been suspended indefinitely pending an investigation. Though it does not specify if the Warriors or WHL will be completing said investigation, or what the violation of team rules & policies were. The Warriors are currently sitting 4th in the Eastern Conference of the WHL and these 4 players are key contributors to their line up, including their starting goalie.
One of these players is Edmonton Oilers prospect Max Wanner, who was drafted by the team in the 7th round, 212th overall in 2021.
