The Patrick Kane excitement seems like it's finally coming to an end. Rumours have been flying these past few weeks on where he was going to go, and it got even more dramatic after the New York Rangers traded for Vladimir Tarasenko, thus ending Kane's chances of reuniting with former teammate Artemi Panarin, or so we thought.
Suddenly yesterday all the news broke that the Rangers were finalizing a deal to bring in Kane after all, and it was only a matter of time before we were going to see Kane in the Big Apple.
Kane was not on the ice today, for what was reported as a ''maintenance'' day, but fans are seeing through that and know what is most likely happening.
While the Blackhawks are fully committed to this rebuild, and fans are totally onboard, it's still difficult to see a franchise player who has brought so much to a franchise, move on, and some fans are not handling it well:
