RUMOR: Three Eastern Conference Teams Emerge As Destinations For Top Line Forward
Conor Garland is reportedly on the trade market, and he's been linked to three teams by the renowned anonymous insider, Eklund.
Insider Links Garland to Three Teams
According to Eklund, three teams have been talking to the Canucks about Garland: the Islanders, the Canadiens, and the Bruins.
Conor Garland:
Garland has a LOT of fans among NHL execs. At least two teams are currently discussing the crafty forward. The general belief is that his contract is up there, but not if he is used in the correct role.
The Isles(e4), Montreal(e3), and I've also heard murmurs about the Bruins(e1).
Stay tuned..."
Garland: Eastern Bound?
Garland could fit on any team. He has every quality that a coach is looking for. That's why many teams are interested.
Three of them are in the Eastern Conference.
The Islanders have interesting depth but need more talented forwards.
In Montreal, they have something the other teams don't have: Martin St-Louis. He can elevate players who need a fresh start, like he did with Kirby Dach and Alex Newhook.
The Bruins lost key players this summer and now need to add depth to their offense.
These are only three teams, but there are certainly many more interested organizations.
Updates will follow.
