Rasmus Ahlholm cross checked his own teammate at practice and knocked him unconscious. Up until today the team had simply suspended him from practicing with the team, but today his full penalty was announced.
Today Storhamar announced the following:
"Such an action is totally unacceptable and very serious. We see no mitigating circumstances around what happened. We have tried to carry out an orderly process with the parties involved, and we therefore had to spend some time to see if we could reach an amicable final agreement with Rasmus. We did not succeed in this and thus we had to go to this step."
Storhamar officially announced that they have cut Ahlholm.
"I think it is incredibly sad that it ends in this way," said Ahlholm when asked for comment about being cut.
