As the Vegas Golden Knights are scheduled to play a game in Long Islander there is at least 1 member of the Knight's who is in for an emotional return.
Golden Knights' goaltender Robin Lehner shared some very emotional quotes about his time in Long Islander. Every hockey fan knows Robin Lehner has battled addiction and mental health issues so when asked about how he felt about his return he shared this.
"I'm not trying to make a big deal out of it. I was there one year ... It's going to be emotional. As I've said before, that fan base saved my life."
Lehner also continued by saying:
«I think about it all the time. I've been waiting for it for a couple of years ... that fan base saved my life."
I think I speak for everyone when I say I truly hope Lehner gets everything he wants out of this return to Long Island against his former team in their brand new arena.
