It's been a dangerous Friday night in the NHL as Pittsburgh Penguins sniper Jake Guentzel crashed hard into the crossbar.
The incident happened during the 3rd period of tonight's game between the Penguins Penguins and Columbus Blue Jackets. The Penguins were well on there way to a win, leading 5-3 in the 3rd period but the Penguins fan base would have a collective gasp when Columbus Blue Jackets Oliver Bjorkstrand would send Jake Guentzel crashing into the crossbar and it didn't look good.
However Guentzel seemed to be okay, just taking a little big to regain his footing and get back into the game.
Bjorkstrand only received a 2 minute penalty on the play, but if this caused serious injury he could have been looking at much worse. But I dont know if I would call this an intentional hit, just an unfortunate one.
