Kirill Tankov who is a Penguins draft pick from 2021, where he was selected in the 7th round, was taken off the ice on a stretcher, after being hit from behind by Artyom Maltsev.
After the hit, Tankov was motionless on the ice.
Scary. Watching SKA-Neva's game right now, Penguins prospect Kirill Tankov (seventh round, 2021) just went headfirst into the boards and had to be stretchered off the ice. pic.twitter.com/zIFoXZ324y Taylor Haase (@TaylorHaasePGH) September 5, 2022
These are the types of hits that belong no where near our game.
The Dynamo player who hit Tankov from behind was Artyom Maltsev, he just got tossed from the game.
Will keep an eye out for any kind of an update on Tankov afterward. Taylor Haase (@TaylorHaasePGH) September 5, 2022
