There's been plenty of discussion in the NHL of late over the shootout and if players are finding ways to cheat by bending the rules.
We have seen guys like like Patrick Kane and Evgeny Kusnetsov just come in at a snails pace to wait the goalie out then score to the frustration of the other team.
Last night Buffalo Sabres top prospect Jack Quinn scored an absolutely sick goal in the shootout for the Rochester Americans AHL, that has all of social media going crazy. It was a nice goal, though many believe Quinn's goal shouldn't have counted within the shootout rules.
While there's no denying that Quinn puts on a stick handling clinic, the debate is as to whether or not the goal should count as he appears to travel sideways or even backwards before shooting the puck past the prone netminder.
