After losing second line center David Krejci last offseason, and a failed comeback by their hall of fame goaltender Tuukka Rask, the Boston Bruins had a rough start to the season but battled back to finish in the top wild card spot with a 51-26-5 record.
Since their playoff departure, all the headlines were about what is going to happen with their captain Patrice Bergeron who just won his 5th Selke trophy, and is currently a UFA. A lot of rumours were he would finish his career with the Montreal Canadiens, but he has shut those down, and said if he doesn't retire, he will only play for the Boston Bruins.
Then the Bruins shocked the hockey world by firing Head Coach Bruce Cassidy who has done nothing but win with this organization, and it has not sat well with fans and players.
Now we are hearing that David Pastrnak is not happy with management and will not resign with the Bruins if they keep Don Sweeney as General Manager.

Pastrnak has one year remaining on a deal that has a cap hit of $6,666,667, so this better get figured out soon!
We do not know whether this is true or not, but if the team loses Bergeron to retirement, and Pastrnak leaves in free agency, it will be the end of the Bruins.
