Our hockey community has lost a great young man. After suffering a series of strokes, Cormick Scanlan passed away peacefully last night surrounded by family.
Mick played with the Caps through Bantams.
Our strength is with the Scanlans and all who loved Cormick. Rest in peace.
On December 6th Cormick suffered an initial stroke and had been hospitalized since. After undergoing surgery the surgery appeared to be successful, but that unfortunately was not the case. Cormick's condition slowly worsened until his untimely passing.
A GoFundMe has been setup to support the family.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family.
