The Coyotes are bad and bad might not actually justify how awful that team is and their intention is to get a lot worse. The Coyotes already possess 8 picks in the first 2 rounds of this summers entry draft and they're hoping to unload even more players. The big names circulating the rounds right now are Johan Larsson, Antoine Roussel and of course Phil Kessel.
The Coyotes are looking to strip their roster of as much NHL talent as possible as they look to prevent any further wins. They currently sit last place with a 1-12-1 record in 14 games, but for management the gap between the 31st ranked team and themselves isn't large enough.
It sounds as if the Coyotes will look to clear Roussel and Larsson in the next 6 weeks before the holiday trade freeze and they'll continue to shop Phil Kessel as they expect offers to increase as they near the trade deadline.
At this time pending injury there is no chance any of these unrestricted free agents will be with the Coyotes past the trade deadline.
As of right now multiple reports have linked Edmonton, Colorado and Florida to the Yotes with varying degrees of interest. We will continue to follow these rumours as they unfold.
