Top 2024 Draft Eligible Prospect Ditches College Team
Top 2024 prospect Cole Eiserman has decommitted from the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers. He initially committed to play for them in the 2024-25 season but changed his mind, deciding he wanted to be closer to home. This was first reported by Evan Marinovsky of the New England Hockey Journal.
Eiserman is projected to be drafted at the very least in the top five of the 2024 draft, but could go as high as second overall. He played the 2022-23 season with the U.S. National Development Team and scored 28 goals and 44 points in 32 games for them.
Eiserman commits to another university
After decommiting from the University of Minnesota, Eiserman has now committed to Boston University for the 2024-25 season. He is currently still playing for the U.S. National Development Team, and has scored four goals and five points in two games so far this year.
A native of Newburyport, Massachusetts, Eiserman wanted to play closer to home and he got his wish with his commitment to Boston University which is located in his home state. He will get to play alongside projected 2024 first overall pick Macklin Celebrini.
