Frank Seravalli reveals potential blockbuster trade involving 2022 sixth overall pick
Insider Frank Seravalli revealed that the Columbus Blue Jackets could soon make a blockbuster trade involving their 2022 first-round pick, David Jiricek.
The Blue Jackets are seventh in the Metropolitan Division, with 20 points in 20 games, after winning their last three games.
Columbus surprisingly managed to beat the Boston Bruins, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Carolina Hurricanes in three straight games, marking the team's longest winning streak of the season.
Even if the team performed well lately. That doesn't mean the Blue Jackets aren't looking to make moves on the trade market to get even better.
A new report suggests that David Jiricek, the 2022 6th overall pick, is expected to be traded soon.
Indeed, Frank Seravalli said on Sportsnet 650 that a Jiricek trade is "imminent", and added that the Vancouver Canucks are out of the derby.

The 20-year-old defenseman has been limited to only six NHL games this season, tallying an assist and a -2 rating.

Wherever he ends up, Jiricek has a promising future in the NHL. As for Blue Jackets fans, they hope that the organization will get something great in return.
