Winnipeg Jets top prospect Rutger McGroarty has been traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins
Today the Winnipeg Jets have finally decided to trade away Rutger McGroarty after months of rumors he will now be heading to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Winnipeg Jets and Pittsburgh Penguins have struck a deal this afternoon according to multiple reports. The Jets will be sending top prospect Rutger McGroarty to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
At the moment the official return in this deal is unknown but Rutger McGroarty at the end of the day will be a Pittsburgh Penguin. To this point, Rutger McGroarty was refusing to sign with the Winnipeg Jets. Now with a change of scenery, it will be interesting to see if he forgoes next season at the University of Michigan and signs with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
