Here's the team's statement:
Halifax Mooseheads forward Jordan Dumais violated the QMJHL and the team's code of conduct, and has been suspended five (5) games.
Dumais, who is back healthy, will miss the remainder of the regular season and the first game of the playoffs. Since this was an off-ice infraction, the matter was handled internally while the team remained in constant communication with the League.
The QMJHL and the Mooseheads demand exemplary behavior from all its players, both on and off the ice. Dumais's suspension began on March 14th, against the Charlottetown Islanders.
The team and Dumais will have no further comment.
More to come.
